How To Co-Create a Life You Love

There’s a difference between the person who lives a life they love and the one who constantly feels like life is taking advantage of them.

That difference is whether or not they believe they are a victim to life or an active participant and co-creator with it.

The moment someone decides that they’re done getting beaten down by the waves of life and chooses to ride them, instead, is when they take the helm of their happiness.

When you start living your life intentionally, meaning you decide on what it is that you really want from life DESPITE what life gives you, you start to take every twist and turn that you’re given and use them to your advantage.

Sounds too good to be true, huh?

Well, I didn’t say it was going to be easy, but you’re welcome to stick with the alternative of waiting for life to give you whatever handouts it pleases.

Notice how I said earlier that you can be a co-creator with life? That beginning of that relationship starts with allowing life to be itself. To acknowledge that life is nature, and you cannot control it.

So what can you control? First, you can stop resisting what life gives you and then anchor yourself in what brings you joy.

Right now you’re probably allowing yourself to be pulled in any direction that the currents of life are giving you.

Your joy is your medicine. Your medicine is your anchor. That anchor allows you to stabilize yourself amidst the inevitable highs and lows that life will give you.

What gives you joy?

I’ve worked with so many people who overlook seemingly small or inconspicuous activities that light up their lives.

Activities like participating in a sport, being active in a community, cooking, planning get-togethers with friends or family, drawing, writing, etc.

Are you taking your “medicine”?

Are you allowing yourself to dive into what brings you joy when life feels challenging? Are you allowing life to express itself through you when these down times inevitably present themselves?

How can you start incorporating more joyful activities into your life?

How can you make your days revolve around your joy?

When joy is your anchor and your compass, life can do as it pleases. When challenges arise they become opportunities to pour yourself into your joy, your medicine, and you become the alchemist to your own life.

What do you choose?
